DRAWING THE CLASSICAL PORTICO
   With Domiane Forte
Project Manager, Studio William Hefner

Have you ever wanted to know how to proportion and detail a classical window surround? A classical door portico or surround? A classical fireplace surround? Now's your chance to learn the theory and practice of the classical details you see every day. The principles learned will guide you not only in classical design, but are underlying all stylistically regional and any design based on classical principles.

Join us for a Saturday workshop studio as instructor, Domiane Forte, guides us in the proportion and layout of a classical portico at large size while attendees follow along using his detailed handout as a guide. Following the Beaux Arts tradition, attendees may develop their own sketches for practical learning and future reference. No prior experience necessary but attendees should bring drawing pad, pens/pencils, ruler and compass. All designers welcome! AIA credits available.
